Resheph

Resheph is mentioned briefly in the genealogy of the tribe of Asher (1 Chronicles 7:25). He was the son of Beriah, who was a descendant of Asher, the eighth son of Israel (or 'Jacob'). The genealogy in 1 Chronicles 7 traces the lineage of the tribe of Asher and lists several of its prominent families and individuals. No additional information is provided about Resheph or his role within the tribe. His inclusion in the genealogy serves to document the family lines and descendants of Asher.
